Our humble presence in the Garden & Flower Marquee at the newly located Mid Devon Show.

With thanks to Alby, John and Jean for manning the tables on the day and putting it together in the pouring rain and mud on the Friday.

North Devon Hedgehog Rescue

Anni Nicholls from Braunton was March's guest speaker.  She runs the North Devon Hedgehog Rescue.  She was very imformative and said that because of the way we garden nowadays there is a danger that the little animals could be extinct by 2025.

Fruit Trees by Paul Fonnereau

Our friend Paul Fonnereau from Cove Garden Nursery came and gave us a talk about growing Fruit Trees for our first meeting of the year.  Imformative and interesting Paul brought a number of species with him.

We held a competition for the best hellebore flower and Margaret Grose won from the 10 entries.

New Point of Contact

The AGM was a success with a few changes in the officers on the committee.  Ros Nichols is stepping down as Secretary after 15 years in the role.  She will remain on the committee but the Club now has a new Point of Contact in the name of Chris Redhead.  Chris will replace Maggie Roberts on the committee who is reseigning after several years.

Members have been given Chris's contact details and can be emailed via tivertongardenclub@hotmail.co.uk
