Spring Flower Show on Saturday
The 2012 Spring Flower Show takes place this coming Saturday at The New Hall, Barrington Street, Tiverton. Doors open to the public at 2pm. Refreshments and home made cakes will be available all afternoon so why not pop along if you have some spare time. Entry is only 50p for non-members.

Preparing for a Show by Bert Jewell
Bert Jewell from Crediton visited the club to give some helpful tips on how to prepare for a Flower Show. Rather timely just before our Spring Show. From transportation and care of narcissi to pot plants the audience found his advice most helpful.

Sue Applegate's Iris & Peonies

Spring Season starts today
The first talk of the Spring Programme is tonight when Sally Applegate visits us to talk about Peonies and Iris. The meeting starts at 7.30pm at The Memorial Hall, Angel Hill, Tiverton.
Anyone wishing to renew their membership or join the club will be able to do so at the meeting. The annual subscription is £5 with lots of benefits for being a member.

Annual General Meeting report
The Chairman opened the meeting and then reported on another successful year for the club. He highlighted the events from 2011 and ran through what was planned for 2012. Reports from the Treasurer, Show Secretary and Garden Visits sub-committee were read out and questions from members were answered by the Chairman.
The election of officers was done and an election of two exisitng committee members. Jim & Margaret Grose, who were stepping down from the committee were thanked for their hard work in the last three years. Two new committee members were nominated and proposed and voted to join the committee.
The evening ended with an digital audio visual slide show highlighting the club's events in 2011 and presented by Ros Nichols.
